Social Responsibility

Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes is often quoted as saying that "Taxes are what we pay for a civilized society."

That being said, we as citizens are under no obligation to pay more taxes than we need to. There is a difference between tax evasion, which is illegally avoiding your tax obligations, and tax avoidance, which is simply taking advantage of all the deductions to which you're legally entitled.

That's where we can help you!

Here at taxSmarty, we believe in contributing time and money to our communities. We are baseball, basketball and soccer coaches, board members of community organizations and athletic boosters. We help our places of worship with youth programs, and we visit shut-ins. We contribute to organizations such as The Salvation Army, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Cleveland, the Animal Protective League, Ohio Troopers Coalition and St. Jude Children's Hospital. We are also helping sponsor a young man to help him fulfill his dream of becoming a professional race car driver. See the #38 race car co-sponsored by taxSmarty.

If you are owed a refund from the government, and you can spare a portion of that to help others, may we humbly suggest that you invest in your community? And if you can make the time, please consider volunteering your time to help others.

We can make our communities even better, one person at a time.

Thank you.
